Join the Charlestown Land Trust and the Rhode Island Land Trust Council for a special guided walk at Mill Pond Preserve to celebrate Thistle—the winning creature of the 2025 #RIWalksChallenge mascot contest!

Hidden along 34 trails across Rhode Island are one-of-a-kind steel sculptures inspired by nature. These “creatures” are part of the #RIWalksChallenge, and Thistle, located right here at Mill Pond Preserve, was voted the community’s favorite!

Come explore the scenic trails, learn more about the Preserve and the #RIWalksChallenge, and see Thistle in person! This family-friendly event is free and open to all, but space is limited—please sign up here to reserve your spot!
