2024 Summer Newsletter

Summer in Charlestown is truly special, thanks in large part to the vast open spaces—beaches, ponds, forests, and farms—that we all cherish. Your support is crucial in helping us preserve these places for everyone to enjoy, now and in the future.

We’ve been busy at the CLT! Our exceptional Board of Directors continue their dedicated work, from monitoring properties and maintaining trails to handling various behind-the-scenes activities essential to our mission. We’re excited to share what else is new here at the CLT, including our new Executive Director and a bunch of scheduled events.

Welcoming Our New Executive Director

After three years of dedicated service, our Executive Director, Angela Brunetti, transitioned to a Board Member role at the end of May. We are grateful for her contributions and look forward to her continued involvement in this new capacity.

On June 1st, we welcomed our new Executive Director, Kathan Teepe. Kathan brings over a decade of experience in sustainable community growth and holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Franklin & Marshall College. For the past six years, she has been running a small farm business at the historic Amos Greene Farm in Charlestown. Her commitment to land preservation, environmental stewardship, and the Charlestown community makes her an excellent fit for CLT. She is eager to connect with the community—feel free to send her a welcome email or meet her at one of our summer events!
