Dear CLT Supporters and Friends,
Spring is finally here, and we’re excited for another great month at CLT! March was a busy one—from a beautiful hike at Mill Pond Preserve to a two-part film series with our friends at the Wood-Pawcatuck Wild and Scenic Rivers Stewardship Council, plus an insightful presentation on threatened wild brook trout. A big thank you to everyone who joined us! We’re so grateful for the chance to come together as a community.
This upcoming month, we’re taking part in 401Gives, a statewide day of giving in support of local nonprofits—we hope you’ll consider supporting our conservation work on this special day. We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be leading a Full Moon Hike at Kettle Pond Visitor Center, part of the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge, as well as hosting Pam Lyons of the Charlestown Historical Society for a presentation on Charlestown’s land use history. And to celebrate Earth Day, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves for a litter cleanup at Ninigret Park. We hope to see you at one (or all!) of these great events!

Give Local—Join Us for 401Gives!

401Gives is a statewide, online fundraising event designed to bring people together to support Rhode Island’s local nonprofits. From April 1st at 6am to April 2nd at 6pm, we’ll join hundreds of other organizations in participating in this powerful event, which last year raised over $3.8 million for 597 nonprofits. Donations are made through a secure online portal and are tax-deductible, with a minimum of just $5.
By participating, you can support the Charlestown Land Trust and our mission to preserve and protect the natural resources, unique ecosystems, and wildlife habitats of Charlestown. Your contribution will directly aid our conservation efforts. Every donation helps make a difference! We’d be truly grateful for your support—donate here.
