Dear CLT Supporters and Friends,
As we step into the final month of the year, we’re reflecting on a busy and meaningful November spent caring for the land, connecting with neighbors, and enjoying Charlestown’s beautiful open spaces.
From trail maintenance and property stewardship to progress on ongoing land acquisition projects, our all-volunteer Board continues to be hard at work behind the scenes. We’re also grateful to everyone who joined us for work parties and events this month! We had a successful Community Cleanup at Charlestown Town Beach as part of the statewide Litter-Free Rhode Island initiative. With the help of volunteers, we collected 32 bags of trash from the beach and surrounding areas.
Later in the month, we gathered for our Annual Turkey Trot at Patricia Sprague Forest Preserve. Instead of heading to the stores on Black Friday, we opted outside! A great group joined us on the trail for a refreshing 1.2-mile hike.
This Friday, our Holiday Bazaar Fundraising Auction opens with a great selection of local gifts and experiences that directly support CLT. We’ll also be offering Pet Photos with Santa during the Charlestown Holiday Ramble. And as 2025 comes to a close, there’s still time to make a tax-deductible year-end gift to help advance our conservation work.
